December Students of the Month Named

December Students of the Month were named on Jan. 11.

Vice President of Secondary Education MaryAnn Volders said students are nominated each month from October to April, by CPI instructors. A celebration will be held at the end of the year to honor all students who were recognized.

The morning students are: Ashley Benner, Abegail Bruni, Hunter Dumond-Hatton, Darren Freed, Caili Gheen, Jeremy Gingrich, Alexia Heckman, Jayla Hockenberry, Coltin Luse, Megan McClure and Alexandra Spencer.

The afternoon students are: Jerad Beck, Gazmyn Blount, Dakota Bruss, Camryn Campbell, Jakob Daniels, Samantha Gribble, Dylan Kibe, Jaidyn Letterman, Gabriel McClellan, Ashlan Patches, Nicholas Turner, Madison Watkins, Hailey Wellar and Lane Wyble.

Volders said that each month has a different theme, and students are nominated based on how they represent that theme. The December theme was “honesty/ethical.” January’s theme is “creative.”

The mission of the program is to help build school spirit while “recognizing students who exemplify superior qualities in different areas,” according to information from CPI.
