Position Title: Adjunct Instructor, Mechatronics

Position Overview:
This position is under the general supervision of the Mechatronics Coordinator and the Vice President, Post-Secondary Education with responsibility for the operations and growth of CPI’s Mechatronics programs. Delivery of training and instruction to post-secondary students, curriculum development, industry-specific custom training, assessments, and other components essential to the growth of CPI’s Mechatronics programs are key parts of the Mechatronics Instructor’s job function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in fluid power systems, mechanical drive systems, control systems, and related technologies, as per CPI, PA Department of Education, and accrediting board standards.
- Evaluate, assess, and report student performance, providing timely feedback to ensure academic success.
- Assist in developing curricula for new Mechatronics programs and update old curricula with Coordinator assistance.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate real-world examples into instruction.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in a technology/mechatronics related field is preferred
- Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant, hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance, control systems, automation, or related fields.
- Teaching Experience: Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. A passion for education and mentorship is essential.
Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Windows and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
