Full-Time Custodial Position
Work Schedule: Full-time, year-round (hours may vary based on building needs)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for a Full-Time Custodial Position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and order throughout our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure they are clean and presentable.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and equipment upkeep.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote an environmentally friendly workplace.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform seasonal groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, and snow removal.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to support the overall operation and cleanliness of the facility.

Requirements

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques (buffing, waxing, stripping) is desirable; training will be provided.
• Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is beneficial.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to complete daily responsibilities within allotted time with limited supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Must successfully complete the following upon hire:
  • Three references
  • FBI Criminal Background Check
  • PA State Police Criminal History Report
  • PA Child Abuse History Certification
  • Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release
