This course is geared toward helping the novice welder or a welder preparing for a certification test, and is designed to fit the students’ needs. The following topics and demonstrations that will be covered in the 42-hour course are as follows:
- Arc welding and Oxy-acetylene cutting safety and equipment set-up
- How to weld various types of metals such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Demonstrations will be given in the following welding and cutting processes:
- Oxy-acetylene cutting, welding, brazing
- Plasma cutting
- Air Carbon Arc
- Shield Metal Arc Welding and electrode selection
- Gas Metal Arc Welding
- Flux-core Arc Welding with gas shielding and non-shielded
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding
