Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:00 to 8:00PM

This course is geared toward helping the novice welder or a welder preparing for a certification test, and is designed to fit the students’ needs. The following topics and demonstrations that will be covered in the 42-hour course are as follows:

  • Arc welding and Oxy-acetylene cutting safety and equipment set-up
  • How to weld various types of metals such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Demonstrations will be given in the following welding and cutting processes:
  • Oxy-acetylene cutting, welding, brazing
  • Plasma cutting
  • Air Carbon Arc
  • Shield Metal Arc Welding and electrode selection
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding
  • Flux-core Arc Welding with gas shielding and non-shielded
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding
